Dear colleagues, dear friends,
On behalf of the Managing Board of the Croatian Neurosurgical Society as well as of the Organizing Committee, I have the honor and pleasure of inviting you to the 10th Congress of the Croatian Neurosurgical Society, which will be held from October 8 to 11, 2026 at the Kompas Hotel in Dubrovnik.
This Congress marks a special and meaningful occasion. Holding our 10th Congress is in itself an important milestone — a moment to gather not only in professional exchange, but also in a spirit of reflection, pride, and shared purpose. As the Croatian Neurosurgical Society celebrates 34 years of existence, we can look back with pride on a period during which much has evolved and changed in Croatian neurosurgery – and unquestionably for the better. Over these more than three decades, our profession has advanced in knowledge, technique, organization, international collaboration, and in the scope and quality of care we provide to our patients. This Congress will therefore be an opportunity not only to showcase contemporary achievements, but also to discuss, honor, and celebrate the progress of Croatian neurosurgery and the people who have helped shape it.
In a time marked by complexity, uncertainty, and the need for closer understanding across all borders, it becomes even more meaningful for professionals – especially in medicine, and particularly in a demanding discipline such as neurosurgery – to come together, share experience, and work side by side for the benefit of all humanity. In this spirit, our Congress continues its mission of building bridges across institutions, countries, continents, and professional communities. We are proud that, once again, we will bring together renowned neurosurgeons from different parts of the world and representatives of major neurosurgical associations, with the participation of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) standing as a particular testament to this vision, as the largest global community in neurosurgery.
This year’s Congress will be further enriched by a special Educational seminar organized by the WFNS, as an integral part of the meeting. In addition, we are especially pleased that one day of the Congress will include a Nursing satellite meeting, recognizing the indispensable role of neurosurgical nursing professionals in the care of our patients and in the advancement of our field.
We are confident that the 10th Congress of the Croatian Neurosurgical Society will provide an outstanding setting for professional formation, exchange of ideas, and warm collegial interaction, while at the same time celebrating the journey of Croatian neurosurgery and looking ahead to its future.
Thank you in advance for your support, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you.
Professor Miroslav Vukić, MD, PhD
President of the Organizing Committee
Past President of the Croatian Neurosurgical Society

Dear colleagues, dear friends,
It is my great honor and pleasure, as President of the Croatian Neurosurgical Society, to welcome you to the 10th Congress of the Croatian Neurosurgical Society, which will take place from October 8 to 11, 2026, at the Hotel Kompas in Dubrovnik.
This Congress represents an important moment for our Society and for Croatian neurosurgery as a whole. The tenth national congress is more than a regular professional meeting; it is a milestone that invites us to look back with respect, to recognize the achievements of those who built our specialty, and to look forward with ambition, responsibility, and confidence.
Over the past 34 years, the Croatian Neurosurgical Society has grown into a professional community that connects generations of neurosurgeons, supports education and scientific exchange, and represents Croatian neurosurgery within the wider European and international neurosurgical family. Our task today is to preserve this tradition, but also to strengthen it through openness, collaboration, innovation, and care for future generations.
The Dubrovnik Congress will bring together colleagues from Croatia, the region, Europe, and beyond. We are especially proud that the scientific program will be enriched by international participation and by an Educational Seminar organized in cooperation with the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies. This reflects our intention to make
the Congress not only a national gathering, but also a meeting place for meaningful international exchange.
I am also particularly pleased that the Congress will include a Nursing satellite meeting, emphasizing the essential role of neurosurgical nurses and multidisciplinary teamwork in modern neurosurgical care.
I sincerely hope that this Congress will be a place of high-quality scientific discussion, professional inspiration, collegial friendship, and shared commitment to the future of neurosurgery. Dubrovnik, with its unique history, beauty, and openness to the world, provides a fitting setting for such a gathering.
On behalf of the Croatian Neurosurgical Society, I warmly invite you to join us in Dubrovnik.
